Downloading and working with our templates.
We have created blank templates with the right dimensions for our print products. You can download them free of charge and use them to format your artwork. Templates are available in PDF, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop and are compatible with PC and Mac.

Formatting your artwork properly
Regardless if you use our templates or your own, the artwork you submit must observe the following minimal requirements:
To be at least 300 dpi in resolution
Text must be 1/8 of an inch away from the edge (Additional to the bleeding)
Text must be submitted as paths or include the font file. If artwork is submitted in PDF format, make sure you have a restriction-free embedded font.

If you have chosen to let our professional design your artwork, you only need three things to start your job:
Call our customer service department to obtain a submission number (If you will upload your files through our website) or to discuss the details of your project.
Email, Fax or Upload a typed or handwritten layout, content, text, draft or mockup and define clearly which content goes on the front and which one in the back. Email or Upload any artwork, stock photography, logos or designs you wish to integrate in the final layout.
That’s it! You don’t need to follow step 3. |

Step 3
Submit your artwork (Only applies if you provide the artwork)
West End Imaging offers you three ways of uploading your artwork.
Before you submit your artwork, you need to contact our Customer Service Department to assign a submission number so we know for which project your artwork will be used. Our representative will also give you guidelines that you must follow in order for us to process your data files and produce composed color separated film.
Web-based uploads
You can visit our File Manager System and upload or download files in your private folder. With this system you can upload only files that are less than 5MB in size. (?)
FTP-based uploads
When you become a client, a private ftp account is setup for you to which you can upload your files. You will need a FTP client software installed in your computer to access our server. (?)
Mailed Media
You can send us your artwork via mail in the following formats:
CD-ROM / DVD
Iomega Zip Disk (100MB or 250MB)
Iomega Jaz Disk (1GB or 2GB)
1.44 MB Floppy Disk
Imation SuperDrive 120MB disk
We can accept both Mac and PC formatted media.
Regardless of the submission method, West End Imaging accepts the following file formats:
- Quark Xpress;
- Photoshop;
- Freehand;
- Illustrator;
- Corel Draw;
- Corel Photo Paint;
- 3D programs, and any other program with resolution control and capable of saving EPS or TIFF formats.
You can also submit PDF documents. Please use the following guidelines when preparing your Adobe Acrobat PDF documents. (?)
